The Artery Cold Steel AK47 is a new pod mod release from Artery – who have taken over the “Cold Steel” branding from Ehpro.
Something just makes me reminisce to the innocent times of the Innokin Coolfire 2 when vapes only resembled Hand Grenades…
What Is The Artery Cold Steel AK47 All About?
Well let’s have a look at the actual features of this kit then…
Starting with the mod – this has an internal 1500mAh battery.
Charging is taken care of by the USB Type C port at 1.5A max rate.
The output is stated at 50W max and you can adjust the output to your preference.
A screen is provided but the size is not stated sadly.
On the side of the mod is one of the airflow adjustments – a dial which you rotate. The other airflow adjustment is apparently on the base of the coil.
Where this kit starts to shine is when you come to the pod.
The pod is refillable with up to 4ml through the bottom fill port.
A clever sensor also alerts you to the e-liquid level to prevent burning out your coil.
Ooh and talking of coils – depending on which kit or pod you buy this is super compatible with existing Artery coils… (Believe me that statement will haunt me – as I have been trying for quite a while to work out what coils are used in which Artery kit – almost as bad as Smok…)
- HP Pod – this uses the HP coil range also used on the PAL 2, PAL Stick, PAL 2 Pro, PAL 18650
- NP Pod – this uses the NP coil range which appear to only be available for the Cold Steel AK47.
- XP Pod – this uses the XP coil range including RBA found in the Nugget + Kit, Nugget GT (subject to mod resistance limits of 0.4-1.2ohm)
There are 4 colours to choose from: Gunmetal, Stainless Steel, Red and Camouflage.
